Trust & evidence

Know what supports the conclusion.

TraderCockpit keeps source, sample, method, and interpretation connected so research results can be examined instead of taken on appearance alone.

Records

Identity before interpretation

When research evidence is discussed, the useful question is which source, sample, run, revision, or other durable identity the conclusion refers to. A complete record supports auditing; it does not prove the method was economically valid.

Synthetic research

Examples are labeled as examples

Interactive Research Lab scenes and public examples use explicitly labeled synthetic data where stated. Synthetic illustrations teach structure and uncertainty; they are not presented as trading outcomes.

Product access

Product access is stated plainly

Pricing and Updates show product access and platform information directly, separate from educational examples.

Interpretation

Diagnostics do not become guarantees

Backtests, Monte Carlo, holdout results, drawdowns, and robustness checks can narrow uncertainty under stated assumptions. They do not guarantee future performance.

What stays attached to the evidence

Context should survive the handoff.

  • Metric definitions stay attached to sample and units.
  • Historical evidence stays distinguishable from current mutable state.
  • Selection history stays relevant when interpreting a chosen result.
  • Visual summaries link back to the method or evidence they compress.
  • Examples are labeled so educational material is not mistaken for live product output.

Who writes the guides

About the TraderCockpit team

The TraderCockpit team writes these educational guides while building a Windows desktop app for trading strategy research. “By the TraderCockpit team” identifies the organization responsible for the material. No individual credentials or independent reviewer are claimed. The upgraded guides show the date they were last updated; corrections are made in place and the date changes with them.

The app is in development. Educational examples do not establish available product capabilities. We’ll release it when it’s ready.

Educational material, not financial advice.
