Terms

Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Dixon, doing business as TraderCockpit (“we”), for using the TraderCockpit website, the Windows app and its account service. By using TraderCockpit you agree to them and to the privacy notice.

Status

TraderCockpit is in development.

Features may change, be added or be removed, and parts may not work as described until they’re finished. The app is licensed to you, not sold; it belongs to us or our licensors, and the licence that comes with the app also applies.

Not advice

TraderCockpit is a set of tools, not financial advice.

Nothing in TraderCockpit, including test results, robustness checks, rankings, Apollo’s answers, charts, indicators or simulations, is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We aren’t a broker or investment adviser and we don’t hold your money. Trading can lose money, including more than you put in with some products. Results on past data, and simulated results, don’t guarantee future results.

Your trades

You decide every trade, and you’re responsible for it.

TraderCockpit sends an order to your broker only after you confirm it, and you’re responsible for every order you confirm: its market, direction, size, price and order type. Your broker’s records are the final word on fills, prices and holdings, so check them on your broker’s own platform. Orders can be delayed, rejected, partly filled or filled at a different price than shown, and prices and account details in the app can be delayed or incomplete. You’re responsible for following your broker’s terms, any prop firm’s rules, and the laws and taxes where you live.

Broker connections

Brokers connect through SnapTrade.

When you connect a broker, you sign in on SnapTrade’s page and agree to SnapTrade’s terms. With the access you grant, TraderCockpit reads your balances, positions, transactions and orders and sends the orders you confirm. We don’t control SnapTrade or your broker and aren’t responsible for their services, outages, errors, fees or decisions. You can disconnect at any time. Connections you make directly from the app, such as MetaTrader 5 on your PC, are between you and that provider in the same way.

Simulations

Paper trading, backtests and prop-firm simulations are simulated.

Paper trading, replay, backtests, robustness tests and the prop-firm challenge simulator use no real money and place no real orders. Simulated fills use the prices and settings in the app and can’t fully reflect slippage, market depth, partial fills, outages or every fee. The prop-firm simulator applies the rules you enter or choose; it isn’t connected to or approved by any prop firm, whose own rules and decisions apply.

Apollo

Check Apollo’s work before you rely on it.

Apollo uses AI models, which can be wrong, out of date or incomplete even when they sound sure. Check its answers, indicators and code, and test anything it writes before you trade with it.

Account and data

Keep your product key private and your data backed up.

Your product key opens the app on your account: don’t share or sell it, and replace it on your account page if you think someone else has it. You must be at least 18. Your strategies, results and other work stay on your PC and belong to you; keep your own backups. When you bring market data, you’re responsible for having the right to use it as you do.

Fair use

Use TraderCockpit fairly.

Don’t copy, resell or share the app or your access beyond what its licence allows; don’t work around its licence checks, plan limits or security except where the law gives you that right; don’t attack or overload the account service; and don’t use TraderCockpit for market manipulation, fraud or anything else illegal. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

Plans and payments

Checkout is closed today.

When it opens, plans will be monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe, and the price, what’s included and how to cancel will be shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew each month until you cancel. See refund information.

As is

Software provided as is, with limited liability.

As far as the law allows, TraderCockpit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it is error-free, uninterrupted, accurate or fit for a particular purpose, including making money. We aren’t liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss from using TraderCockpit, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited, or liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending and changes

Ending your use, and changes to these terms.

You can stop using TraderCockpit at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering TraderCockpit, telling you in advance where we reasonably can. We may update these terms as TraderCockpit develops; we’ll change the date above and tell you in the app or by email before a change that matters to you applies.

Governing law and contact

Governing law and how to reach us.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts. Questions about these terms: support@trader-cockpit.com.
